The CMA June 2026 exams are finally over. Whether you walked out of the hall feeling confident or carrying a few doubts, one thing is certain the next few weeks are the most important of your CMA journey. What you do right now, before results even arrive, will decide how fast you progress to the next level.
1. Take a Short Break — But Not Too Long
You deserve a few days of rest. You have been preparing for months, and your mind needs recovery time. Step away from books, give yourself three to five days to relax, spend time with family, and reset mentally.
But here is the honest truth: Students who take a full month off lose momentum and find it twice as hard to restart. Three to five days is recovery. Three to five weeks is a setback. Use the break wisely, then come back with a plan.
2. Do an Honest Self-Assessment Paper by Paper
Once you are rested, sit down and evaluate each paper objectively. Think about:
- Which subjects felt strong and which felt weak?
- Were there topics you ran out of time on?
- Did you struggle with theory, practicals, or both?
- Were there papers where you know you performed below the passing threshold?

3. Understand What Comes Next at Each Level
Depending on the level you appeared for, here is what you should be planning:
CMA Foundation (exam: June 14, 2026): Result expected around July 9, 2026. If you pass, you will be eligible to enrol for CMA Intermediate. If you need to re-attempt, the December 2026 session is your next window. Either way, coaching for the next step should start by August at the latest.
CMA Intermediate (exam: June 11–18, 2026): Result expected around August 5, 2026. CMA Intermediate has two groups. You can clear them one group at a time. A good coaching institute will help you strategise which group to prioritise in December.
4. Do Not Wait for Results to Start Preparing
This is the most common and costly mistake CMA students make.
Results for CMA Inter and Final come in early August. By the time most students enrol in coaching, the batch is already a few weeks old. They spend the first month catching up instead of building ahead.
You do not need your result to know that you want to advance in your CMA journey. The direction is clear. Only the timeline shifts slightly depending on whether you passed or need to re-attempt
